Causeway Boston, located conveniently at 65 Causeway St, captures the essence of delicious comfort food with a local twist. Home to hearty entrees like the Brisket Platter and the Cajun Salmon, the restaurant has garnered rave reviews for both its flavors and atmosphere. Hannah Loubris highlights the exceptional service, particularly from bartender Sabrina, whose delightful drinks leave guests yearning for a return visit. Manda Carco's passionate description of the cornbread exemplifies Causeway’s attention to detail; it’s moist and perfectly sweetened, topped with a tantalizing crust that makes it unforgettable. Raymond Lui praises the barbecue offerings, especially the tender baby back ribs and Buffalo Shrimps, which are flavor-packed without being overly sauced—a common pitfall in many barbecue places. With a relaxed vibe and a helpful staff, Causeway Boston proves to be an ideal stop, whether you’re gearing up for a game at TD Garden or simply enjoying a lunch break. The combination of delicious food, exceptional service, and a comfortable atmosphere make it a memorable dining experience worth revisiting.

Food was great, but the service was extremely exceptional. Sabrina the bartender made the most delicious drinks & she was such a pleasure to meet. Will definitely be back!

So Causeway has delicious food, like period. BUT let me tell you about the cornbread for a second. Cause maybe if I write it out it will stop consuming my brain. Let me first start off by telling you, I didn’t even have cornbread with my meal. I got steak tips, which are always delicious here as well as the mashed, and broccoli. You know who did have cornbread with his meal? My husband. He got the brisket plate which he also says was delicious. The first thing he said when the food came was “that’s MY cornbread” but because he loves me so much after he took a bite himself, and knowing my affinity for good cornbread, he broke off a small piece for me cause I “had to try it”. As soon as that tiny piece disappeared behind my lips, my eyes widened, and my entire face lit up. I could see him reluctantly breaking off another small piece, that I thought was for me... BUT it was for himself and handed me the rest!!! What a saint. So about the cornbread - it was so moist - like most places don’t even get that right - no Sahara desert here, just fluffy but sticky crumbs that didn’t make a mess all over the place. The sweetness - is it honey? Is it maple syrup? I don’t even know but it was the right amount of whatever sweetener it is - not TOO sweet and not NOT sweet - ya know what I mean? Then the top of the bread is the thinnest like almost crisp caramelized corn meal crust. The literal the Goldilocks of cornbread. Just perfect. If you are going to see the best teams ever (the B’s or the C’s of course - though I hear they bring Ravens in on Sundays ) make sure you stop at causeway to eat (and pregame if that’s your jam). Maybe get a tray of cornbread and bring it to me on your way out of the city.

Probably one of the best barbecue places I've tried in Boston. Being right in the sweet spot next to TD Garden (North Station) and State, it's the perfect place either for people to eat/drink at right before the game or eat/drink at during lunch time at work, or you just want to have dinner there! The food is absolutely delicious. For a group of 3-4, we had the "Spicy and Sweet Mustard Wings", the "Buffalo Shrimps" (I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS), and the baby back ribs platter (also highly recommended). A lot of barbecue places I've been to are either very heavy in bbq sauce or very very dry. The ribs here are very tender, smokey and filled with flavor. I would definitely come again!

Very low-key during the day. We played 18 holes of golden tee Golf. Bartender was great. Very comfortable vibe.

Stopped by this bar after the Celtics game for some drinks and were lucky enough to be greeted by bartender Sabrina—she was absolutely AMAZING! From the moment we walked in, she made my boyfriend and me feel so welcome and comfortable. She was super friendly, easy to talk to, and gave us great recommendations from the menu. On top of that, her drinks were fantastic! Anytime we’re in Boston, we’ll definitely be coming back to see her. Highly recommend!

The first bar we stepped foot in after arriving in Boston, and we never left! Were made to feel so welcome by the staff and the locals. A good selection of food and drink and the atmosphere on game day(hockey/basketball/football) was brilliant. Will definitely be back again.
